John Platter and his wife Erica started compiling the most comprehensive guide to South African wineries in 1980. This year John is coming out of retirement with the launch of a new book 'My kind of wine', sharing his insights on the past, present and future of SA wines. We have invited him to share some of these insights alongside a few of his favourite local wines from the last four decades.
